Sitting in a unique position that allows superb views of the harbor and the Aegean expanse, Villa Dove is located only a few steps away from the exciting center of Mykonos town. The main goal of this beautiful villa was to successfully deliver a mix of old and new without losing the house’s original character. Inspired by the vernacular architecture, the whole structure is a cluster of efficiently arranged cubes painted stark-white to create a beautiful contrast with the colors of the sea and the sky. The interior is organized around an internal stone-paved courtyard that seems to be carved into the rock that surrounds it. Peppered with colorful flowers, this hidden oasis features a comfortable pergola-shaded dining and lounging area with built-in sofa and an open-sky jacuzzi. At the front of the courtyard, a small terrace offers unobstructed views of the Mykonian seascape.
A wooden door leads from the courtyard to a living room with adjacent dining area, which is also accessed through the main entrance. Modern elements blend seamlessly into the décor granting a contemporary twist to the sculptural forms of the 70s.
The minimalistic ornamentation and lack of color draws attention to the large window which offers fabulous views of the Aegean. The kitchen is ultra-modern and fully equipped to serve cooking enthusiasts. An interesting mezzanine that is used as a lounging area leads to the courtyard, which in turn leads to the rest of the living areas. The bedrooms are designed in the same concept, with stark-white surfaces and beddings creating an ultimately relaxing atmosphere. Wood-framed windows offer soothing views of the harbor and let the cool night breezes in. The ground floor comprises of two independent studios. One of them features a comfortable double bed, a small lounge area with built-in sofa, a kitchenette and a shower bathroom. The other one is smaller in size, equipped with two built-in beds and a shower bathroom.
